FTVFC units assisted with a working brush fire on Boone Hollow Rd in Ligonier Twp. Multiple crews worked to extinguish the fire.

Fire units activated for a male patient who fell from a tree stand and suffered back pain. No extrication was needed. EMS arrived and assumed patient care.

Provided an ambulance assist to Laurel Valley EMS for a call on Tucker Drive in the Township. We were able to provide them with manpower to extricate the patient to the awaiting ambulance.

Dispatched to an Automatic Fire Alarm with Wilpen FD (45) assisting. Engine 111 in with 4, crew of 1 in quarters with the tanker. Arrival to find the homeowner who just arrived back at home after a call from his security company.

Assisted New Florence(46) and Seward (47) VFD's with a standby at the Laurel Valley Elementary School. Engine responded with 2 and assigned to standby at the top parking lot for possible future assignment.

First Response from the Temporary Building!!! Dispatched to assist the Medic unit with a male patient who passed out, but was awake now. Chief 111 direct, Attack in with 4. Medic unit has the patient in there care, we assisted with extrication from the residence and transport to the medic unit.

While responding to the Structure Fire on Austraw Rd, Tanker 111 investigated a vehicle accident that occured when a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign on Stewart Rd and crossed Hypocrite Creek Rd and went into the field near that intersection.

Early into the new year and we have been dispatched to the second working structure fire. Tanker 111 with two personnel responded initially on the report of a structure fire on Austraw Rd in Ligonier Twp.

Dispatched alone for a traffic control incident. Rt 259 had been obstructed by a tractor trailer type rig that was in the process of moving one of the gas wells. On Rt 259 just south of the Chestnut Ridge Community Center, on the sharp turn, the trailer was too long to negotiate the turn.

Dispatched to a working structure fire assisting the Ligonier Twp. Companies in the town of Waterford. Tanker responded as well as the engine with a total of 7 members. Waterford and surrounding companies had the incident under control upon our arrival, we assisted with overhaul and mop up.

Fairfield Twp VFC was dispatched to an incident that was previously believed to be in St. Clair Twp. New Florence(46) and Seward (47) units were originally dispatched to a MVC on Rt 711 between the bottom of Fairfield Hill and the LV High School.

Dispatched to assist the Medic Unit with a 4wheel drive. We arrived to find the ambulance part way up a very long and snow/ice covered driveway. A second ambulance was requested to transport the patient from the scene.

The FTVFC responded to a reported Chimney Fire with Bolivar VFC (89) and New Florence (46) units to assist. Chief 111 direct, Engine in with 4 as well as Tanker with 2. Chief 111 arriving with no obvious conditions present.

Dispatched to assist the medic unit with an AED response for an unresponsive patient. Several officers enroute direct, Attack enroute with the AED and equipment. Attack 111 arrives first with an unresponsive person.

Station 111 dispatched to assist Station 89 (Bolivar) for an Abandoned Structure Fire in West Bolivar at the corner of 5th and Center Streets. Stations 137 (Clyde) and 46 (New Florence) also dispatched to assist.

In the wee morning hours, we were dispatched to initiate a search for a crashed plane in the Chestnut Ridge area. No further information at this point was received. We were one of several departments deployed to search.

Again, another morning weather change. It seems that the temperature was just at that perfect temperature for making the roadways a skating rink. Fairfield Hill was layered with ice and several motorists apparently had quite a ride.

Due to the extreme wind in the area, we find ourselves out cutting up trees throughout the Township to make sure that the roads are open for emergency vehicles to pass. One tree was on Knupp Rd and the other later in the day was on the Wilpen Rd that PennDot took care of for us.

We were dispatched to a vehicle fire along with Waterford (44) to Ross Mt. Park Rd near Rachelwood Rd. The weather had changed considerably overnight and the roads were not treated to this point in the morning.

We were dispatched to a vehicle accident unknown injuries along with Wilpen (45) and Waterford(44) companies for the assist. During our response, Ligonier EMS who was sitting half way for Laurel Valley was the first on scene and reported vehicle vs.

As a result of the storm that passed through with the high winds, we responded to several trees and wires down in the area of Ross Mt. Park Rd. Several power outtages noted in the area as a result. FD personnel responded and updated Allegheny Power of the wires and poles that were down.
