Fall from tree stand

Fire units activated for a male patient who fell from a tree stand and suffered back pain. No extrication was needed. EMS arrived and assumed patient care.

Crash on Rt 711 at Umhey Rd. 1 patient cared for by EMS. Vehicle was off the roadway.

FTVFC units activated for a cover assignment. Units north were assisting at a structure fire in Indiana County. FTVFC units stood by, no calls handled from standby.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Units activated for a MVC on Baileys Rd in the Twp. Crews respond to find one vehicle overturned partially in a ditch. No one is around the vehicle, but reports of the patient being at a residence near by. EMS advised to investigate that residence, where they find the driver, assess him and check for injuries.

Fire crews find a stable vehicle in the ditch, no leaking fluids or hazards noted. Crews await PSP arrival and then are released from the scene upon there arrival.

Nothing found upon investigation of a tree down on the roadway in the area of Hammill School in the Twp. All units returned after investigation.

FTVFC and Wilpen VFD units activated for an AFA at a residence on Rabbit Ridge Rd in the Twp. Deputy 111 on the scene reporting smoke from a woodburner set the system off. No issues, apparently just a down draft of some sort caused smoke to set the system off.

With all the Ligonier Twp companies assisting Chestnut Ridge VFD with a brush fire in Cook Twp, FTVFC was requested to standby for Wilpen VFD in station. No calls responded to from standby.
Ambulance Assist

Laurel Valley EMS responded to a residence along Rt 711 in Fairfield Twp. and due to the location of the patient in the residence they needed assistance with removing the patient from the house. FD crews responded and assisted with extrication and placement into the Medic Unit.

Bolivar VFC had a working structure fire in the Village of Robinson, Indiana County. Station 111 requested to assist. Engine and tanker 111 responded with a total of 9 personnel. This is a 2 1/2 story residence that is well involved upon fire units arrival.

FTVFC tanker requested to assist Wilpen VFD with an AFA on Hidden Meadow Ln in Ligonier Twp. Units responded and were shortly thereafter cancelled by official from Wilpen VFD.

Units activated for a MVC on Rt 711 near Church Camp Rd. Waterford VFD and Wilpen VFD also activated to assist. Crews find one vehicle on its wheels, with 2 patients that are out of the vehicle with no obvious injuries noted.

For the third call of the day, caller advised of possible smoke investigation in the area of Antiochian Village on Rt 711. Nothing found upon investigation, all units returned.

Responded with a crew of 3 in Attack 111 to a tree down on Rt 711 near Baileys Rd. Arrived to find one tree on the roadway. Tree removed with a couple chain saw cuts and all fire units returned in service.

FTVFC units activated alone for a smoke/fire investigation on Rt 711 near the Scaife Farm. Deputy 111 resonded direct to find that XTO Energy is flaring the gas well and there are no issues in that area.

FTVFC units were requested to help ladder a tree to remove a pet cat from a tree. Units responded nonemergency and assisted the owner with making sure the cat was back safe at home with the owner. No injuries were reported by any party involved.

FTVFC units activated for a call in St. Clair Twp as a result of New Florence VFD not acknowledging the call within the alotted initial time. Dept. 111 (Stiffler Jr.) direct, crew forming in station and squad 46 responded and cancelled 111 units.
